Design Description 

The installation adopts a flowing, wave-like form that evokes the rhythm of rice stalks growing and changing with the four seasons and solar terms, echoing the theme of “spring birth, summer growth, autumn harvest, winter storage.” The overall shape resembles layered waves of grain in the fields, moving with the wind, symbolising the passage of time and the continuity of life. In spring, seeds are sown and all things sprout; in summer, irrigation and abundant sunshine nourish growth; in autumn, fruits ripen, symbolising harvest and fulfilment; in winter, all things return to rest, storing energy for renewal. This cycle not only reflects the cyclical nature of the natural world but also resonates with the “tian ren he yi (man-nature unity)” and “balance between yin and yang” advocated in traditional Chinese medicine, reminding people to align with the solar terms, nurture body and mind, and achieve harmonious coexistence with nature.
