Government-subsidised Services
Eligible Hong Kong residents may choose to use subsidised services.
The fee structure for subsidised services is designed based on the principles of “package charges” and “simplified itemised charges”, making it easier for the public to understand the charging model and manage their medical expenses. This approach also encourages members of the public to select services according to their actual needs and make good use of resources.
A medical fee waiver mechanism is also in place. Patients eligible for full fee waivers include recipients of the Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA), holders of Level “0” vouchers under the Residential Care Service Voucher Scheme for the Elderly, and recipients of the Higher Old Age Living Allowance aged 75 or above.
In addition, during the hospital’s first year of operation, selected designated services will be offered at a promotional rate of ten percent to thirty percent off the original price. The initiative aims to encourage members of the public with healthcare needs to experience the diverse and professional Chinese medicine services provided by Hong Kong’s first Chinese medicine hospital.
