Design Description

The overall design centres on the concepts of “yin-yang” and the “five elements”. “The meaning of yin-yang corresponds to the sun and moon”: the central yellow stage symbolises the sun, representing abundant yang qi; the stage is encircled by a crescent in twilight purple, and the two are united on a single platform, illustrating the concepts of opposition, mutual restraint, mutual rooting, and mutual support between yin and yang.

The seating design takes the “five elements” as its theme, using irregular shapes and five colours to correspond to the five elements: green wood for “wood”, red flame for “fire”, yellow earth for “earth”, white mineral for “metal”, and black waves for “water”. Blending the five elements with modern design aesthetics, it presents both the philosophical spirit and practicality of Chinese thought.
