In modern healthcare, the concurrent use of Chinese herbal medicines and Western drugs is increasingly common among patients. However, there is currently no internationally or nationally recognised herb-drug interaction database available for clinical reference. To this end, CMHHK collaborates with local, Chinese Mainland and overseas partner institutions to harness big data in both Chinese and Western medicine for research, and we develop clinical guidelines for the concurrent use of Chinese herbal medicines and Western drugs with the goal of enhancing patient safety while driving the internationalisation of Chinese medicines.
